Stay smart with StudyWorld’s silver sponsor

The Stay Club, which has pioneered friendly, upmarket student accommodation in London, has chosen to be StudyWorld’s silver sponsor in our golden anniversary year.

Business development manager Mariana Ulanowicz, a StudyWorld regular, said: “I got the idea for sponsorship because it was your anniversary and I thought it was a good opportunity to do something different this year. We’re getting bigger, with new buildings, and we wanted to have more exposure and tell everybody our news and so it’s a great opportunity.”

Mariana, an English UK corporate member, finds StudyWorld useful to meet new customers and agents, and catch up with existing contacts. “I personally feel it’s a very friendly atmosphere. It’s a nice place to meet people and socialise with colleagues as well. You meet colleagues, agents and new people and there are lots of opportunities to really socialise and talk with them during lunches and breaks and drinks, not only in the appointments. It’s a great opportunity, really nice and well organised.

“It’s good for business and based in London so that’s very easy for us.”

As well as its London-based staff, The Stay Club is bringing team members from China, Latin America and Europe to join its stand at StudyWorld and meet educators and study abroad agents.

More than student accommodation: what has The Stay Club got to offer StudyWorld delegates?

The Stay business includes four purpose-built London student accommodation buildings, housing Stay Campus London which offers both English Language teaching and university pathway courses. All of the buildings include self-contained accommodation with catering, social areas, maintenance and event team in house.

“We want to really grow a different concept in accommodation, not just a bed, but a place where students really feel at home. Most of our students are international, come from different countries and we want to give them a nice welcome,” says Mariana.

“Every week we support students by preparing special check-in times to help them with everything, we have a 24-hour reception and lots of social places. We want students to have a whole experience, not just accommodation.”

Stay Club Campus: where students can study and live

The Stay business offers more than accommodation. Mariana says: “You can study here and stay with us, or study in other schools or universities and stay with us. We have created a whole concept which is unique in London – you can stay and study all in one roof, with quiet areas for study and other places for socialising.

“It’s good for students new to the UK. A lot of university students don’t know anyone, so they can stay with us for a year, and we do things with them so they don’t just go to their room. We do social events and try to make them feel welcome as well in the first days. An example of this is our Camden residence full of university students so you’ll see them with their laptops in the lobby or garden, eating in our canteen or in the nice restaurants around the area. Willesden is good for short term stays and professionals and Colindale, with space for 2000 students, is very popular due to the disco, cinema, gym, terrace restaurant and supermarket, all in one place. We have just opened Kentish Town and much more to come”
