Richard Nicholls, head of research and forecasting at VisitBritain will deliver our keynote address ‘The recent past and short-term future of inbound tourism’.

With inbound tourism all but shut down in early 2021, Richard will look to the recent past and the short-term future. What did the inbound study market look like pre-Covid-19? When and how can we expect inbound tourism to recover? What can we learn from international perceptions of the UK?

A new era for English language travel?
Patrik Pavlacic, Bonard

Patrik Pavlacic, head of research at Bonard will guide delegates through the macro trends that are already prompting businesses to rethink their strategy. Patrik will offer his take on future prospects for the UK market and will provide a quick briefing on upcoming initiatives.

Rebuilding the international market for UK English language teaching
Jodie Gray and Tim Barker, English UK

Jodie Gray, chief executive, and Tim Barker, business development manager at English UK, will present English UK’s roadmap for recovery after Covid-19. The roadmap acknowledges the UK ELT has been devasted by Covid-19. Jodie and Tim will present the decisions that underpinned the development of the plan and will discuss the need to restore confidence in learning safely in English language teaching centres across the UK and get students back into our classrooms.
