StudyWorld 50 Delights Sponsors

StudyWorld 50 delights sponsors

Seven magnificent sponsors helped make StudyWorld 50 the fantastic event it was this year.

They made the most of their opportunity with eye-catching stands and multiple members of staff to talk to delegates, while other organisations took advantage of individual sponsorship opportunities, including a welcome reception, branded reusable water bottles and a 50th birthday celebration.

All seven were delighted with the increased exposure StudyWorld sponsorship gave them, how busy they were and the organisation of the event.

Busy schedules for StudyWorld sponsors

Nicola Whyley, of British Study Centres, StudyWorld’s silver sponsor said: “As sponsor, it’s probably been one of the best events. We’ve had a lot of talk about this workshop and everyone has been really well received. It’s good to be the sponsor.”

She added: “We have had two full schedules here. People were coming up and queueing, leaving business cards on our table. There’s been some really good footfall.”

Michael Quinn of the Centre of English Studies, which sponsored StudyWorld’s 50th birthday party was also delighted.

“I personally think it’s been one of the best StudyWorld for several years with a really good mix of agents, lot of different nationalities and some very good meetings.”

The party was held at the Tattershall Castle, a unique riverboat venue moored on the River Thames.

Michael said: “I think the party was brilliant – we had lot of people coming up to us today to say how much they enjoyed it, both schools and agents. It was a good venue, right opposite the London Eye. And we’ve been pretty rammed yesterday and today.”

Launch new products with StudyWorld sponsorship

Gold sponsor LanguageCert was in prime position to attract attention with a stand opposite the main entrance of the QEII Centre.

“It was good to see the welcome reception for our new proctored language testing service,” said Marios Molfetas, responsible office and manager for LanguageCert.

“It was very interesting and well organised, bringing together agents and schools and a Chinese delegation.”

Henry Tolley, head of business development at LanguageCert, saw it as part of a season of sponsoring English UK events: “It’s good to have other opportunities to work with English UK and its members.”

Silver sponsor The Stay Club also launched its new London building at the event with a sofa brought from the accommodation to show exactly what students get.

Mariana Ulanowicz, business development manager at The Stay Club London, said: “People are coming over and asking if they can sit on the sofa. We’ve had lots of different nationalities and interest from a lot of people, some who know us already and a lot of people who want to know what the Stay Club is.

“People here are very helpful. All the English UK staff have been very helpful. It’s very good to be a sponsor. It was a great experience – I really enjoyed it and feel very well treated and it was a very nice spot.”

Raise your profile by sponsoring an international event

For Ben Wakeford of IELTS, sponsor of the Monday night welcome reception, it was his first time at StudyWorld. “It’s amazing. I love the venue and the English UK staff who are very helpful. The drinks reception was very successful for us. It was well attended and everyone was having a nice time.”

He said there had been a lot of traffic to his stand “with people very willing to speak and interested in what we do … I am making lots of contacts.”

Meet the best international education agents

Oliver Smith of silver sponsors Ardmore was also busy, with three schedules and four members of staff. He said: “On the whole there were good agents. I would say agents at StudyWorld were more qualified.”

“People seem to have researched us and came prepared with questions rather than us having to explain from the beginning what we do and that works well for us.”

Creative sponsorship opportunities

Simon Fitch of TASIS The American School in England brought alumni along to hand out branded reusable water bottles, as well as having a stand.

Simon said: “StudyWorld 50 was a great event and we were very happy to support this historic occasion.”

“TASIS England met lots of new and not so new agents and other contacts, and the event also provided an excellent opportunity for our alumni representatives to meet with guests and hone their distribution skills before transitioning to university, where they are aiming to support their college like they did their school at StudyWorld. We hope delegates are getting good use from their reusable water bottles!”
