StudyWorld’s parent organisation, English UK, has a new chief executive in post this week.
Sarah Cooper has had a long career in international education, and has been closely associated with English UK as a member of our Board of Trustees for almost seven years, including as vice-chair and chair.
She succeeds Eddie Byers, who died suddenly last November after just 18 months in post.
Sarah is the association’s first Chief Executive to have extensive experience in the ELT sector. Until July, she was Dean of Management & Professional Studies, International English at South Thames College in London. She also has a strong business background.
She said: “This industry is very important to me, and I’m delighted to have been given this opportunity to help shape our future.”
Sarah hopes to meet as many educators, agents and others working in international education at StudyWorld, which will be her first major event after starting at English UK.
