StudyWorld London 2007 / Fam Trips

Fam trips are fact-finding trips for agents looking to increase their product knowledge and introduce new institutions and/or regions to their clients by visiting regionally linked institutions (schools, colleges and universities) in the United Kingdom or overseas.

Who can participate in StudyWorld Fam trips?

Places on the official post-Fair Fam trips are open only to agents participating in StudyWorld London 2007. The trips will depart from the Fair venue (Hilton London Metropole) on the last day of the event at approximately 17:30 and will last between 2 – 4 days in length. There are twelve different trips taking place in 2007 - see the links on the left for full details.

How to book?

Agents should first register to attend StudyWorld London 2007, then complete a Fam Trip Application Form, specifying your first and second choice of trip. Once we have received your Application Form you will be considered for a place on your first choice, and if you do not gain a place on this trip, your application will be considered by the organisers of your second preferred trip. If you are not offered a place on either of your choices you may apply to participate in an alternative trip. The StudyWorld team will confirm which trip you have been offered a place on, after which you will receive confirmation and further details directly from the trip organisers. Please note that the offer of a place on a trip is at the sole discretion of the participating hosts of the individual trips.

How much does it cost?

Participation in one of the official post-Fair Fam trips costs GBP 150* per person. This fee includes travel from the Fair venue to the trip destination and return travel from the trip destination to London, as well as accommodation, meals, and entertainment. *Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT. Additional costs may apply for non UK based trips.

Comment from a Fam trip participant in 2006: "It was great to have the chance to see so many interesting and picturesque locations and a good variety of educators. The hospitality of the educators was excellent – they were very welcoming, friendly and helpful." Krisztina Bayer, StudyGo (Hungary)
